New You-Part 2

Morning guys, still with me? So if you did part one yesterday properly then I guess your probably feeling slightly fed up with yourself. Don’t worry about it because now its time to make the changes you’ve identified.
To begin with there is a couple of really good exercises that are well worth doing every evening. They don’t take long and over time will change how you feel about yourself and how you view things that happen.
The first is to sit or stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful / handsome, worthwhile, deserving of success, happiness and love. You can also add in anything your struggling with. For example if your shy tell yourself you have confidence.
The second is to list a minium of five positive things that have happened to you every day. These don’t have to be big things they can be as simple as finding matching socks to wear. What your doing is retraining your brain to emphasis the positives in your life rather than the negatives.
The next exercise for some will be the easiest and others the hardest. Every time you go out smile and say hello to people. Not only will it make your day feel better but your improving someone elses too.
Right now down to serious business. Do you feel like a door mat? Find yourself agreeing to do things you didn’t really want too? Feel overlooked, invisible? Then the next two exercises are for you.
First confidence, the expression fake it till you make it, is perfectly true in this case. A lot of people, my self included are less confident than outward appearance would suggest. There are body language cues which make people percieve you as confident and treat you accordingly. Stand tall, shoulders back and hold your head up. People who don’t slouch automatically look more attractive and confidence. Make sure you look people in the eye when you speak to them and believe that what you say has value. If you believe in your own worth you will develop confidence.
Tomorrow we’ll discuss the art of saying No!
