Truth or lies

How do you know what the truth is? Everyone considers their interpretation of a situation to be the factual one, but every truth includes personal opinion and bias of the situation. So in essence we all lie.
Scientists vary in opinion on every discovery and history favours the winning side.
So what is an acceptable truth?
Is it ok to hurt someone’s feelings by saying something deliberately unkind? Or is it better to interpret the situation differently and offer a kinder opinion.
Every day we teach our children to lie whilst insisting on the truth. But in reality we don’t want a factual truth we want what we’d like to hear.
The world revolves on lies both large and small and we pick out the parts we relate to and call them truth when in reality they are the same thing depending on your stance.
